
I’m proud to be the official Univer USA web representative and have spent a great deal of time using the Univer products in my kitchen. Univer products are flavor enhancers, much like salt and pepper, vinegars, herbs and spices. Who offers their kids a hot dog and not offer some mustard to top it with? Imagine making a meatloaf without some kind of seasoning. We all use enhancers, whether it’s barbeque sauce, soy sauce or hot sauce. In my pantry I have dried oregano, thyme, parsley and about $300 of other herbs and spices. Same thing with my refrigerator. There are salad dressings, capers, pimintoes and salsas. (Also some green stuff in a jar in the far corner.) Now, since I have become ‘Univerized’, I even have a bin devoted to nothing but Univer products so I can be sure of what I have on hand.
What keeps our tube products so fresh is the lack of oxidization. You know how ketchup and mustard get watery after they have been opened? That’s because air has gotten in and is breaking down the product. Our tube packaging prevents air from entering, and keeps our products as fresh at the end as they are at the beginning. No need to shake the tube like you have to with traditional packages of mustard, ketchup and even some mayonnaises.
